We discussed that portions of something may have different qualities, depending on "what they are" (see also #380) . E.g. a portion of pure substance may have as it soul "characteristic" to have parts only one entity type, period.
The aim is to build a documentation example (possibly in the pattern section) of a portion of something that through its parthood to lower levels has some interesting characteristics, e.g. a portion of polychrystal that "inherits" properties of the chrystallites, or similar.
