Lots of empty tables created

We've been using the plugin for a couple of months without any issues
and I just noticed when I was doing a DB dump lots of empty tables with this format wp_matomo_archive_blob_2023_09
it's not a big site so this has not caused any major issue but still wanted to let you know.
I haven't looked deeply into the codebase but sounds like there's a missing condition to create those tables?
also, this is a site that was just launched so no entries from 2023 are in the DB

Hi @hugosolar this is behavior from the core Matomo product so I will transfer this issue there. It happens when requesting data or attempting to archive data for an old date. Matomo will create an empty archive table before actually aggregating log data or adding aggregated log data to the table. If it is for a date with no visits, the table will remain empty.
