Glad to learn that a fellow Flutter enthusiast is also working on this project! My experience with Flutter has been great, as it is a relatively new technology the package ecosystem is not completely matured yet and I came across some major changes like depreciation of some Although I don't consider myself an expert in flutter (far from it) but I would be happy to help you in any way I can, feel free to let me know if you want any help. |

Hi guys! thanks for joining, i think this would be a good place to introduce yourselves and get aquainted. happy for you guys to build connections between yourselves, this is after all a comunity first, and a project second. :) in terms of the project, i'll be adding some starter ideas onto the Projects BOARD, and please feel free to discuss more. in terms of overall lifecycle the statements below should help understanding A Worker has many attributes, name, age, dob, location - typical stuff that can be captured on a webfor, or curriculum vitae. Workers can be internal (Temp/Perm Staff), or externally sourced (employment agencies), the cheapest workers are internal, and the external workers are more expensive, and are charged on rate cards, depending on their skill, and time proximity to a shift. Hospitals. have a general location (postcode/zipcde etc), and can be made up of 1 or more buildings, of which each building has a number of Departments, which can be made up of 1 or more wards. Departments can be spread across multiple wards/buildings. Departments also can be Patient Facing or non-patient facing (Admin/clerical, HR, IT, etc). Departments or hospitals release shifts, which can be claimed/filled by workers. Departments require the correct skillset, and so will be matched to workers who have corresponding skills; a shift can be filled by one or more skills. Workers can see a shift at a hospital if they are Compliant, and if they are in an acceptable distance from a hospital, and have the right skills,. Hospitals have to make sure that shifts are fille dby the cheapest worker possible. The worker shoudl work the shift, but it's possible that they miss the shift due to illness or something, and this gets recorded. Hopefully. the shift gets worked, and this gets passed to payroll, to process. There's a bunch of toher complexities but this should be a good starting point. I welcome questions!!! Thanks! |

What would you say the most important thing TITAN should do? To rephrase - of all the aspects of that collection of old, outdated software solutions the NHS is using (and what TITAN is supposed to replace) - what would be that one thing - if TITAN fixed, would make the biggest single-handed impact? |

Hi LoveBes, I believe that TITAN should enable a Hospital to view, and optimise (through automated tasks), workers and their scheduling in order to minimise overall cost of care, whilst being fair to all stakeholders (Hospital (managing costs), workers (managing income) and patients (managing quality of care). And i mean to do this in as fairest way as possible; if multiple workers are able to work the same shift, both should be given equal opportunity to work, for example i wouldn't want one worker to get an overwighted number of shifts because of any criteria, such as their name beginning with 'A' as opposed to 'M', such as some older systems rely on alphabetically ordering their staff, and will process them in that order. Another thing that is a big hurdle for organisations like these is a lack of integrations with other software. Some have API's, but locked-in vendors rarely provide a unified API, allowing one system to interact with others, even if they're not in direct competition for a type of software (i can understand Salesforce restricting access to other CRM software for instance). This may be scratching the surface right now of the issues, so not intending to 'boil the ocean' and tackle everything, just one step at a time. I think we'll start on the onboarding bit first - onboarding of users onto the platform by providing an informed and useful user journey in order for them to submit data securely, in an informed manner, through any platform they choose to. |
