What is the difference between the configuration of http.socket.timeout and http.connectionrequest.timeout?

Hi, I have a configuration-related question. What is the difference between the configurations of http.socket.timeout and http.connectionrequest.timeout? What are the effects of configuring these settings? If I do not set them, will the default proxy requests not time out and wait indefinitely until a response arrives? I believe the difference is the time it takes to initiate the connection vs something else. I forget if the something-else is a kind of TTL on the connection or is related to the packets taking too long.
