The rtl8922/12au WiFi 7 driver is nearly ready to be submitted for inclusion in the Linux kernel. We need testers that have WiFi 7 routers that wupport MLO and, of course, you need a USB WiFi adapter that uses a rtl8922/12au chip. Please reply if you would like to help.

A new WiFi 7 USB WiFi adapter, the Netgear A8500, was recently released and is available. It uses the mt7925u driver. A patch to include the VID/PID has gone in. This adapter will be considered for The Plug and Play List.

Support for correct txpower output is entering phase one with a patch that has gone in:

That series of patches will allow the output of iw dev to show the max txpower according to the regdb for your country and that out matches what the firmware sets as the actual txpower. This corrects the problems where the output is incorrectly set to -3 dBm.
Phase two will include another patch to allow users to reduce and increase txpower with iw. This patch will be sent in soon.
Phase three includes requesting that Mediatek add capabilities to firmware..

It appears to use the mt7925u driver so if you are using kernel 6.7 or later, that could be an option and, hopefully, it will cost less than the options we currently have available.
- I would like to be able to add good USB WiFi 6 Realtek based adapters to The Plug and Play List but I am only aware of one adapter that is single-state (no windows driver onboard):
