Upgrade from v1

I have a quite complex setup working on v1 (3 Ethernet gateways, 20 nodes with different sensor types, 30 custom scripts, rules, schedules, etc).
Is there a way to massively migrate it to V2?
Is there a way to also migrate historical data from V1 to V2?

Hi @danielefrigo we can not migrate v1 things in to v2.

There is no programmatic way. we have to do it manually

what we can do is,

• setup the v2 along with v1 and do manual migration
• connect your ethernet gateway into https://github.com/mycontroller-org/2mqtt
• modify gateway in v1 as mqtt
• add the gateway in v2 as well
• now we can do manual migration, once we think everything migrated, we can shutdown the v1

in v1, Are you using influx database, or sql database?
for now we have no option to migrate the historical data.

I can help you to migrate both entity and historical data to v2.

On v1 I'm using the internal SQL database, anyway loosing the historical data is not a big issue.
My main concern is about scripts: I built around 20 scripts on v1, are they compatible with V2?

v1 scripts are not compatible to v2.
v2 supports only JavaScript and the API's are changed. If you can share your scripts, I can help to migrate to v2
