Cannot install skill

The skill needs to be repackaged so that data and scripts are real directories (not symlinks). The simplest fix is to copy the contents of src/ui-ux-pro-max/data/ and src/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/ directly into .claude/skills/ui-ux-pro-max/data/ and .claude/skills/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/, then zip just the .claude/skills/ui-ux-pro-max/ directory and rename it to .skill.

Cron maintainer recheck (2026-06-26):

Issue #347 remains a valid symlink packaging concern, but the landscape has shifted significantly since the last triage.

Evidence:

• PR Fix codegen/validator bugs and a standalone-install break across four skills #346 (packaging/install fixes) is now merged.
• PR Replace symlinks with real files and add conversion script #368 (replace symlinks with real files + conversion script) remains CONFLICTING with changes requested — the author has not resolved conflicts since 2026-06-19.
• Issue app-interface.csv shows newer repo/release state version 2.5.0, but npm still ships older version 2.2.3 #353 (npm release pipeline) is now closed — the new package ui-ux-pro-max-cli@2.8.8 publishes successfully with all seven skills and synced assets.
• The new package install path (npx --yes ui-ux-pro-max-cli@2.8.8 init --ai claude) uses the resolved-asset pipeline from Fix codegen/validator bugs and a standalone-install break across four skills #346/fix CLI asset sync #355/fix(cli): keep the uipro bin from being stripped on npm publish (#353) #392/fix(cli): publish under fallback npm package #393, which may already address the symlink concern for users installing via the new package.

Useful brainstorm / scope framing:

• Underlying problem: the original CLI package shipped symlinked directories that break on Windows and non-GitHub install paths.
• Tradeoff: PR Replace symlinks with real files and add conversion script #368 proposes replacing symlinks in-source, but the new release pipeline now resolves symlinks during packaging (via fix CLI asset sync #355 asset sync). The remaining question is whether the source repo still needs real copies, or whether the build-time resolution is sufficient.
• Recommended narrow scope: verify that ui-ux-pro-max-cli@2.8.8 installs produce real directories (not symlinks) under .claude/skills/ui-ux-pro-max/. If so, this issue can be closed as resolved by the new pipeline.
• Concrete acceptance evidence: a clean install from npx --yes ui-ux-pro-max-cli@2.8.8 init --ai claude produces real data/ and scripts/ directories (not symlinks) under the installed skill path.

Recommendation: Keep open until someone confirms the new package install produces real directories. If confirmed, close as resolved by #346/#355/#393 pipeline.
