ggtern on cran needs fixing

Hi Nicholas,

I am the maintainer of dartR.base and our package imports ggtern for some plots. Unfortunately currenlty ggtern produces errors on CRAN and hence our package would need updating as ggtern will not be much longer available on CRAN if not fixed.

Therefore the question, do you have time and intend to fix it until the deadline on CRAN (https://cran.r-project.org/web/checks/check_results_ggtern.html) which is soon. [issues need fixing before 2025-10-16]

To expand a bit on this: the fix looks easy, the error is precisely:

Error in get(x, envir = ns, inherits = FALSE) : 
  object 'is.zero' not found

Actually, this is.zero is supposed to be in ggplot2's namespace, as explained in R/gg-internal.R in ggtern. It was, but its name changed to is_zero in ggplot2 4.0.0, published in september. The function is in R/grob-null.R in ggplot2, and its definition is the same.

And this function is only used once in R/plot-build.R.

However @green-striped-gecko, given that this repo had no update in ten years and is not even mentioned on CRAN, I suspect nobody will see this. And the contact email on CRAN is on a domain that is now redirected to something else. I tried to fix it using your suggestion @jcarbaut but came to realize that there are a lot more changes required than just 'is_zero'.
So I just downgraded my ggplot2 to 3.5.2 in a closed environment and was able to install ggtern successfully. I think this is a good (at least for a short term) solution for anyone looking for one.
