Just realised I missed this line, specifically asking for an issue (too much reading today 😂). Either stand by this message or document an "Idea" path for proposals (maybe favourable during such a volatile time) |

Proposal
All proposals should start as a discussion - not an issue - and the contributing guide should reflect that.
There are already countless issues being reported and a plan for a massive project restructuring/overhaul. These proposals are great, but not the focus of the project right now.
Notes
When the project is at a point to action new proposals, we can work on those with the most 👍 (showing the most community interest).
Discussions can be slightly broader than an issue should be - thanks to them being "multi-part" (having a comment with it's own set of sub-comments) when we're talking about a large proposal. This can make building them in stages easier later on by converting them into issues. But sub-comments should be focused, we need to make it clear that a proposal with more 👍 is more likely to be implemented first over one with a bunch of "+1!, "Yeah!!", or "This please"
