Actually, GitHub Trending favors new repositories based on star velocity. The reason it's not trending is likely GitHub's anti-abuse filters. Gaining 60k stars in just a few days often triggers their spam detection because it looks like bot activity or an unnatural spike, so the algorithm automatically hides it from the trending page.
So it's not Microsoft's fault. It's just the way it gained popularity.
