The Off Grid AI Console is open source under the GNU AGPL-3.0 (see LICENSE). You can
run the entire platform, on your own infrastructure, at any scale, for free — the whole thing,
nothing held back. If you modify it and make it available to users over a network, the AGPL requires
you to make your modified source available to those users under the same license.
That copyleft obligation is a good fit for most teams. It is not always a fit for a commercial enterprise that wants to:
- modify the platform and keep those modifications private (not publish them),
- embed or redistribute it inside a proprietary product,
- or receive a warranty, indemnification, and a support SLA.
For those cases we offer a commercial license that removes the AGPL copyleft obligations and adds enterprise terms. Same codebase, different license — you choose the one that fits.
