Keep old metrics until the ontology finishes processing

This is especially visible for huge ontologies like NCBITAXON that requires a large amount of time to process (metrics, diffs), the metrics are not visible during this time:

Suggestion: delete the old metrics once the new ones are available and not before processing

Not sure I got the issue. You mean that in the exemple you gave, the individuals and properties metrics should be displayed from "previous" submission untill the latest is fully parsed. Right?

Not sure how to address this... in a case by case approach as all the metadata are associated to the submission (including metrics) and this is always the latest submission that is display in the Summary page.
For example: One submit a new version of NCBITAXON, as a new submission on our side, he/she adds 4 contributors. Click upload... which triggers the parsing process.
Shall we: (a) display the metadata of the previous submission then still display the contrinbutors without the 4 news but with the right metrics? (b) display the metadata of the new submission then display the 4 new contributors but the metrics are not computed yet.
And (c): if we found a technical soluion (not easy) to display half of the metadata of the latest submission and half of the metadata of the previous one... how do we explain this to the user?

Could you (and others) express more requirements/inputs here?

Suggestion: As soon as the ontology submission has been parsed and can be viewed, set a metrics pending flag to true, and the display shows the pre-existing numbers in italics. Present a note that says "(Calculation in progress; italicized metrics are from previous submission.)"

When the metrics calculation is complete, set the metrics pending flag to false; replace the metrics numbers and the display reverts to plain text and the note goes away.

I think this is just about ontological metrics calculations, not about attribute metadata like contributors. Those are trivial to calculate and are probably not calculated as part of the metrics calculation cycle. If those trivial-to-calculate values are now intermingled with the other metrics, show the new attribute values immediately and those are always in plain text. (So you only have to change the code around the ontology metric values, not the attribute values.)

A solution exist on the front side only. When the Summary page is rendered, if not metrics are found (the case when latest is not finished to be parsed) then the UI handles this by displaying the previous metrics and a small notification.

@syphax-bouazzouni we can go with the front end solution suggested by @jonquet with a "metrics pending flag" as suggested by @graybeal on the frontend (both on main home and ontology summary pages), many thanks to both of you!
