Description of project
OneBus is a website that allows the user to find POI (Places of Interest) that they can travel to using one bus. The bus stop and POI are queried to be within walking distance (~500m). The site will also provide information about the POI and also an estimated transit travel time.
Current stack:
Backend: Flask, pandas
Frontend: Javascript

Description of role
I am looking for someone with backend engineering experience. The role can be more advisory or collaborative.
If it leans more advisory, the workload will most likely be a meeting or two a month just to get an idea if I am building my code in the best way. Ideally the volunteer would have had some industry experience building such code before.
If it leans more collaborative, I am more than happy to work together and develop the backend portion of the project, open to any level of experience. I myself am a novice but am hoping to learn more through working on this project.
Timeframe
No rush to have this filled, but ideally sometime in May would be good, I am currently working on a few issues with the data caching and data analysis portion that need fixing. That said, I am more than happy to discuss about the project in detail.
