Hello,
With YaST gradually disappearing from Tumbleweed and only a very reduced YaST stack remaining in SLES / Leap 16.0, we’re starting to see side effects in related workflows.
myrlyn
, the intended drop-in replacement for YaST Software, does not support the single-click install feature.
As advised by @shundhammer, it probably makes sense to drop the single-click YAML install functionality from software-o-o as well. At the moment, on Leap 16 systems, clicking a single-click install link simply opens the YAML file in the browser, which results in a confusing user experience.
This feature was quite criticitzed int he past as a non experienced user could have accidentally partially migrated system to Tumbleweed and end up with a mean-bear-pig.
Could we consider removing or disabling this feature to avoid that inconsistency?
Thanks!
