ideas for linking our sites #395

Description

@michelledeeney85

I have a web app (still a work in progress) to find a bench to sit on, aimed at helping people who have mobility issues find a rest spot when out and about.
It uses openstreetmap data with the bench IDs.

I want to link to benches on your site via the openstreetmap bench id.

E.g. an extra link on the benches on my site "Memorial bench: click for more info" to link to the specific bench on your site.

This is my site:
https://michelledeeney85.github.io/bench-mark-web/

I have noticed you have an id for each bench (e.g. https://openbenches.org/bench/37936 )

So I am guessing that is the openstreetmap bench Id? That would make it very easy to link to your page.

Furthermore I was thinking I could add another link to your site to register a bench as a memorial bench (if it isn't alread registered) that goes to your Add Bench page.
That could be streamlined if you add an option for that page to pass in the geolocation and existing openstreetmap ID as URL params.

I think both of our sites would be improved by linking up (you would get more people adding memorial Benches via people using my site, and my site would have more info on the benches about whether they are memorial Benches)

What do you think about these ideas?
Do you have any more ideas about how we could link up?

I know you are on an open source license so I can just go ahead and do the links but I thought it may be a good idea to communicate with you about it first as you may have more ideas for collaboration.

Best wishes
Michelle
