Deploying openBIS with dev/test/staging/prod environments. Difficult to do because OpenBIS contains data which changes as users add more data, unlike code, so not as straightforward as deploying code changes with git paradigm. Possible fix that I tried before: duplicate the VM entirely (we have OpenBIS installed on a VM), but this caused clashes because 2 VMs were trying to point at the same URL. Not sure where to disambiguate this; there are a lot of console.properties files everywhere. |

It would be nice to have a round table to discuss RDM Community Building. Increasingly, more and more people are interested in learning these tools and getting started with them. Thanks to this momentum, I think we could discuss more open and fast channels for people to post questions. Also, I find that a forum and sending emails back and forth are kind of an outdated way of communicating, especially when you are looking for a fast answer to a small bug or question. We were discussing internally, and came to the conclusion that Discord could be the best solution. This system allows to:
