Slide on the left/right of the screen is not working for going backwards/ forwards

Describe the bug
I’m not sure if this is a bug. I initially went for a feature request but it complains about now being possible. Please advice me if I’m doing something wrong :)
When navigating the app (iOS) i frequently need to open a thing , open an item and then move backwards to the previous menu. Many apps use the screen gestures. Where instead of you touching the back button, you slide your finger in the direction you want to go, slide on the left of the screen and you move one menu backwards. This is very useful because the back button in OpenHAB is way back at the top.

To Reproduce
Open any Thing and try to return to the previous menu by sliding the finger on the left of the screen.
Then try the same using a browser: open the browser, open a link, then slide on the left of the screen, then on the right. Useful heh? :)

Expected behavior
To be able to return to the previous/ next screen.

Sure this is useful but currently slide from the right is used for another purpose in openHAB iOS app: make the menu appear.

@timbms at least the "return" or "back" would be useful to have. Keep the menu though? Or is it "one or the other"?

Swiping from left side to go up a hierarchical level works. No change necessary.

@timbms sorry what do you mean swiping from left works? Swiping from left does nothing, whether I’m in the things menu or inside an item linked to a thing..

@SeveranExp I think there has been some confusion about the swiping, in regards to the Sitemap view, where it has been working properly all along, and the OH admin pages with all its sub pages.

I have submitted #1249 , but keeping it back as a draft, as currently the swipe from right interferes with showing the sidemenu. As the sidemenu is planned to change to a popup, once that has been implemented the swipes in admin pages can also be merged.
