bad x scale with future TimeSeries items

I have a chart with 2 y scales (one on each side) and 2+ TimeSeries items.

The x axis looks fine for the current date, but if I browse to the next day, the x scale widens to 3 days and it looks like screenshot B. That's a bug, it should only display one day (period is defined in the chart page to be "D").

There's values for Aussentemperatur for all 3 days available. For "Strompreis", there's data for today (screenshot A) but none for tomorrow yet (screenshot B).

Hmm, that isn't so easy to fix as we have to retain offset functionality. I wanted to redesign the offset functionality for quite some time now because I don't think it is super intuitive, sounds like a good chance to fix this as well.

FTR: My refactoring idea is to move the offset config from the series to the axes. At the moment, offset is set on the series, but the series requires a dedicated axes.
