briefs/

Campaign briefs and the editorial calendar live here. One file per active campaign; one shared calendar.md for cross-campaign cadence.

Layout

  • calendar.md — editorial calendar (rolling 8-week view). Maintained by the content-calendar skill (Tier 2).
  • {YYYY-Q?}-{slug}.md — campaign brief per quarter+slug (e.g. 2026-Q2-data-app-builder.md). Created by campaign-plan skill.
  • archive/ — past campaigns, moved here at end-of-quarter.

Conventions

  • One brief per discrete campaign or launch. If two efforts share a goal but different channels, they can share a brief with a "Channels" subsection.
  • Campaign briefs follow the campaign-plan output template — don't hand-roll.
  • Briefs are working docs; mark final decisions clearly (e.g. Locked: before a section). Drafts go in assets/drafts/.

When to update

  • New campaign or launch is being planned → create a brief via campaign-plan
  • Editorial cadence shifts → update calendar.md via content-calendar
  • Campaign closes → move brief to archive/, write learnings to the bottom of the brief before archiving

Nathanael Wolfe. Campaign briefs that affect external commitments (paid spend, partner co-launches) require owner sign-off via #marketer-approve before they're locked.
