Welcoming Carlos Hernandez as a maintainer

Carlos Hernandez (@carloshvp) is now a maintainer on examples, cmcp, agent-manifest, ca2a, and integrations.

He has been one of the most consistent contributors across these repos since June: 24 pull requests, and not small ones.

Some of what he has built:

• integrations: the AgenTrust agent integrity plugin for Codex (#45)
• examples: the industrial embodied-AI governance example (#16) and the embodied action receipt fixtures (#36)
• cmcp: embodied action evidence fixtures (#392)
• ca2a: delegation action evidence conformance (#37), and he is currently wiring Cedar into the cross-operator delegation example so the demo evaluates a real policy instead of mirroring one
• agent-manifest: a genuine security fix binding trusted keys to manifest issuers (#220)

What decided this was not the volume. It was the reviewing.

Carlos sets a clear acceptance bar, holds contributions to it, and does it without discouraging anyone. His review on trace-spec#98 is the example I keep coming back to: he supported the direction of an external interoperability crosswalk, then asked precisely for the governance framing and mapping accuracy the document was missing, including that the contribution disclose its own author's relationship to the draft it referenced. That is careful, generous maintainer work, and he was already doing it before anyone handed him the permissions.

Congratulations Carlos, and thank you. The bar you hold others to is the reason the bar means anything.

Thank you, @imran-siddique , I really appreciate the trust, and especially the way you framed this.

The reviewing part matters a lot to me. Good open-source governance is not just about getting more contributions merged, but about maintaining a clear technical and governance bar while still making it easy for people to contribute and improve the work together.

I’m looking forward to taking more responsibility across these projects and continuing to help make AgenTrust rigorous, interoperable and useful in real systems.

And thank you for building a community where contributors can actually grow into that responsibility.
