It seems the author may have abandoned this project, so I’m moving forward to look for alternatives to replace FormKit.

I don't think that's true - the team behind the project need to earn a living as do the rest of us, so their focus for the time being is elsewhere - and in any case anyone can get involved in it's maintenance

Hi! Author here :) not abandoned, but @pjrusso is correct, just focused on some paying work for a bit, but will hopefully get some FormKit updates shipped in the not distant future.
