GPS Map Location Totally Wrong

Newbie so be gentle. I have a new Lilygo T-Beam with GPS that I just enabled. It is up and running for an hour or so connected to my iPhone vis bluetooth. I am getting new node discovered alerts regularly.
However, when I look at the map, the location being reported of my node is completely wrong. GPS is reporting 5 satellites. Positioning is set to 15 miutes.

Have I missed a setting? Why would the mapping be totally wrong?

Update,
I did a Google Maps loolup on the lat/lon being displayed on the device and it is totally correct...at my house. Looking at the map I am reported about 2-3 miles away.

Also seeing this issue with iOS. Both with a T1000E and a Wio L1 Pro.
I think this is an app issue. I’ve seen discrepancies between a nodes distance listing on the Nodes tab, the nodes Node Map , and the node location on the Mesh Map.

I’m experiencing the same issue. The display on my nodes show the correct gps location but the app shows me ~1 mile away. I have the Wio L1. Not exactly sure what the gps module is

Are you sure, this is no privacy feature? Search for exact position in the settings.

@KnorkFox I'll be honest, this is all new to me. I have 2 nodes and only 1 phone so I'm not entirely sure I'm doing it right. One each node in settings -> Position config, I have smart position on, device GPS enabled, update interval set at 2 minutes, all of the toggles enabled except sequence number and altitude geoidal separation. I have the primary channel on each node with no encryption and position enabled. It shows proximity location as 1.8 miles. I also have an encrypted channel on each node with position enabled and precise location enabled.

When I'm connected to node 1, and I go to Nodes -> Node 1 -> node Map...it shows me the aproximate location, not a precise location. I would assume since that's my direct node/client, it should show the precise location.

The gps coordinates on the display are 100% the precise coordinates.

If I'm understanding this wrong..please let me know and I'll do more research :)

And I believe I've resolved my problem. I saw mention that the first channel that shares position info is the only one used...so I turned it off in the primary/public channel and now I'm getting precise location data through the private channel. Sorry for the confusion!
