Andriod app crashing

Does anyone know when a new update of the android meshtastic app will be available?
I have the latest update and when I go to messages/contacts it crashes... says app has a bug

v2.6.30 Android app from July 2025 on F-droid crashes for me with error "unknown enum value" when I click on (some) short names in my contact list.
Could be related? An observation is that the contact has reported
"unrecognized" hardware. "UNRECOGNIZED" role by itself does cause a crash.
