This request must be understood very precisely. The goal is not to make users manually rewrite the same post for every network. The goal is the opposite.
TryPost should let users draft a post once in a rich-text, word-processor-style editor and then automatically adapt and reformat it for every connected platform at the same time. A live preview rail shows exactly how the post will render on each platform — but users should never be forced to manually edit each variant. The auto-formatting happens automatically. Manual per-platform overrides are available, but optional.
⚠️ There is no value in a Live Multi-Platform Preview if users still have to manually edit every single platform version. The write-once auto-format behaviour is the entire point.
Problem
Today, drafting for LinkedIn, X, Bluesky, Threads, Mastodon, Facebook, and Instagram means dealing with seven different character limits, seven different formatting rules, seven different hashtag conventions, and seven different media placement rules. No reasonable team manually manages all of this per post. The result is either lowest-common-denominator posts that underperform on every platform, or a time-consuming manual rewrite workflow.
Proposed Feature
TipTap-style rich-text editor as the main input word-processor-feel, not a plain textarea
Automatic per-platform adaptation: the system rewrites line breaks, truncates where needed, adjusts mention formats, reformats hashtags, and applies each platform's structural rules automatically
Live preview rail showing a real-time preview card for every selected platform simultaneously
Warnings when a platform requires structural attention (e.g. a post is too long for X after truncation)
Optional per-platform override: if a user wants to customise one platform's version, they can fork it but this must be a conscious choice, not the default workflow
Re-sync: if the master copy is edited, re-sync all platform variants unless a manual override is active
Why This Matters
This is Polypost's core differentiator and one of the most-requested features across social media scheduling communities
It removes the biggest friction point in multi-platform content production
It makes TryPost genuinely faster than any tool that requires manual per-platform editing
Writers, founders, and agencies all benefit immediately
