Upgrade from Buster 10

I'm trying to use this image, but I can't get VIM installed because none of the sources work. Will there be an upgrade any time soon?

You can already test the v2 release candidate.

Version 2 is a complete rewrite and includes updated Ubuntu/Debian/Alpine bases, so apt sources and package installation issues like this should be fixed there. The old v1 branch is deprecated now.

Example:

docker pull osixia/baseimage:debian-trixie-2.0.0-rc

The RC images are already available on Docker Hub.

So I would have to build the osxia ldap container manually with this osixia/baseimage:debian-trixie-2.0.0-rc?

Not necessarily 🙂
There is also a new OpenLDAP container version you can test: osixia/openldap:2.6.10-alpha
It is based on the new v2 baseimage stack, so you should not need to rebuild the LDAP container manually.
One important note though: there no automatic migration path from the previous 1.x versions. This alpha release is mainly intended for testing/new deployments for now.
