When using many scope traces, positioning them vertically proper separated is a bit time consuming. You have to set the slider, close the properties by clicking OK, then position the cursor over the scope so the trace positions get updated. See attached example of 6 traces in an 8-division scope.
If the horizontal slider had small vertical marks indicating the divisions, then it would be easy to get traces aligned properly, especially if you add a new trace that should ideally go between other ones. So for 4 divisions, 4 marks etc. Then you also know when a setting is outside the visible area (basically adding a display offset), which is useful for examining large signals in more detail.
