AlwaysOnTop Toggle does not work

Hi,

Although posted a bug in another thread which seems to be quite exclusive for me, I dare to post another one :)
OS: Mint, 6.14.0-29-generic #29~24.04.1-Ubuntu

^Space:: Winset, AlwaysOnTop, Toggle, A

The Toggle activates the 'AlwaysOnTop' correctly but does not remove it when the hotkey is pressed again. Running the script again
with Winset, AlwaysOnTop, Off, A is necessary to get a normal behavior again.

cannot reproduce. AlwaysOnTop, Toggle works perfectly for me.

Can you install xdotool and see if it works with this command?

sleep 3; xdotool getactivewindow windowstate --toggle ABOVE

that is, run it, and within three seconds, focus your desired window, and see if after three seconds the toggling succeeded.

AHK_X11 internally uses libxdo, a library build from xdotool. So if neither of these commands work, it's a bug with xdotool and you'd be best off creating an issue over there: https://github.com/jordansissel/xdotool

I just tested the command. My xdotool does not seem to know the "windowsstate" parameter:

xdotool: Unknown command: windowstate

I have version 3.20160805.1 installed and there is no newer version for ubuntu/mint, sorry.

I just build the latest (3.20211022.1) version from xdotool git and the command sets the AlwayOnTop property but does not toggle it. So it seems a issue with xdotool.
Which version do you have installed?

Interesting. I'm on version 3.202110022.1, both locally and in ahk_x11 sub-dependency.

I'd suggest you report it to xdotools repository then. You're not on Wayland, are you? try echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE should say x11

I finally opened and issue on xdotools (jordansissel/xdotool#501)
Before that I build the new version 4.20251130.1 with the same behavior as the previous version.
