Feature Request: Small Indicator for when sliding pane is off-screen

I don't know how exactly this could be executed, but is there a way to create a small indicator that would appear if one or more panes are off-screen when the sliding panes are active?

Something like a little arrow that would point towards the direction in which there are more panes.

I am planning to add an on-off indicator on the status bar, both to show if sliding is enabled and to turn it on or off. I could try to have it indicate the scroll state in some way, except that it would always need to be indicating both directions unless you had scrolled all the way to one side.

Is there some reason the scrollbar isn't showing at the bottom of your workspace? One should be present that shows where you're located in the workspace, unless perhaps your theme or a CSS snippet is hiding or disabling it somehow.

(Hm. I think on the default theme the status bar might also hide at least part of the scrollbar, unless you set the status bar to go all the way across. Perhaps I should add an option to put the status bar all the way across when the sliding workspace is active, so that the entire scrollbar will always be visible.)
