Confusing behaviours with "New folder" option on Folder context menu

I have started using this plugin's "New folder" option in the context menu on the file path at the top of the screen.

Steps to reproduce

1. Right click on a folder name in the path in the title of the active window
2. Select "New folder" option
3. Give the new folder a name

Here is a screen recording of the things I found a bit confusing...

1. It creates a new folder called "Untitled" before I have been invited to give the folder name.
2. The modal is titled "File name", not "Folder name"
3. Once it has created and named the new folder, a context menu appears at the bottom of the screen, and I can't tell why.
4. The success message says "Successfully renamed file.", not "folder".

So, the "context menu" is actually quick explorer - apparently it's not remembering that you opened it at the top of the screen. That part looks like a bug. (One of the recent updates to QE added the ability to select a new folder or file you create after naming it, without you needing to reopen QE.)

Regarding the other two behaviors, they're actually from Obsidian: QE is using the standard creation and renaming APIs, and that's what they do: make an untitled folder and then rename it. The "file renamed" message comes from Obsidian as well. (To be fair, the File Explorer view doesn't pop up the message, but it does create the untitled folder and have you rename it.)

But yeah, the explorer opening at the bottom instead of the top is definitely a bug; apparently I'm so used to opening QE with hotkeys that I forgot to test it on the view headers.

Thanks for the reply. I was unable to get Obsidian to generate the message "Successfully renamed file."

How were you able to trigger that in the Obsidian UI, please, so I can report it to Obsidian?

Use the "rename" option from the file menu on a link or pane, and it'll give you that for a file; you can't access it from a folder or the Explorer.

To make a folder, QE calls Obsidian's generic folder creation API (which creates it as Untitled), then the promptForFileRename API to rename the folder. So to override the message it outputs, I'd have to write a replacement for all that Obsidian-supplied code. (Specifically, I'd need to write a prompt dialog, handle filename validation, and so on, that the current dialog does for me.)
