Good morning. I have a few feature requests for Tab Wrangler.

1. In settings, can an option be added to turn on/off or remove right-click menu entries for Tag Page? I don't use this feature and want to avoid extra clutter on the context menu.
2. In fact, by the same reasoning in 1, can the Rename Tag, Create Tag Page, Require/Exclude tag in search context menu entries all be sub-menu functions in a single cascading "Tag Wrangler" context menu entry?
3. Can Tag Wrangler functionality be implemented in the Tags Overview plugin? I like it's presentation of tags better than the native tag pane.

I'm a bit confused about your item 2 - every item in the tag context menu comes from Tag Wrangler. If you turn Tag Wrangler off, there is no context menu for tags in the tag pane, so putting everything in it into a submenu makes no sense. Or are you talking about the context menu for a tag in the editor or properties?

Also, have you tried the "Hide Commands in Menu" plugin? It offers the option to hide menu items from specific menus, e.g. the editor menu. There is also the "Commander" plugin for menu customization, "Context Command Hider", and so on.

Ahh I see what you mean about point 2. I'm sorry, I should have clarified what I mean. I am referring to the context menu when you right-click a tag in a note. It would be nice to have a single menu entry called "Tag Wrangler" and then have the tag page, rename, search, and require/exclude options as submenu entries. That will keep the context menu from overflowing with too many options. The right click menu in the tags pane doesn't need such a submenu since the tag wrangler commands are the only ones present. Does that make sense? It would be nice to have the right click menu available in Tags Overview pane though.

I do have the Commander plugin but didn't find an obvious way to hide commands but only looked superficially, I can also look into the other plugins as well.

@pjeby Should I also contact the developer of Tags Overview to request support of Tag Wrangler?

Tag Wrangler doesn't have an API for triggering its menu at the moment, so they wouldn't be able to add that on their side. When I get around to looking at how to implement it, if there's anything I need on their end I will ask them.

I think perhaps you misunderstood me? I'm well aware of how to create submenus, and the only API I referred to is the fact that this plugin doesn't expose an API that Tags overview would use - nothing to do with the submenu API or lack thereof.

Sorry, I did misunderstand you. I am not a coder/programmer, just an end user. I have been reading up and asking questions on how to modify extension code so that right-click menu options are contained within submenus, not the main menu, to keep the context menus from being too cluttered. I understand your reply now. My apologies.

No problem. Just didn't want you to get your hopes up on that front. I don't have a lot of time to work on Obsidian plugins these days so I tend to focus on bug fixes first, features second if at all. No telling when I get around to it, sorry.

I understand completely life hampers plugin development. Have you asked if anyone wants to assume control and development of the plugin? It is widely used and very popular, someone out there might want to.

Nothing stops someone from forking a copy and making/maintaining their own version, if that's what they want to do, it doesn't require any interaction with me. Lots of people have forked copies, but AFAIK nobody has published their changes, if any.
