New Release?

Buildah had quite some nice fixes/features regarding the --secret flag, but unfortunately there has been no release since February 6, 2026. I'm mostly talking about:

• feat: support --mount=type=secret,id=foo,env=bar #6285
• feat(build): add --mount option #6289
• Fix panic in --secret flag parsing when key has no value #6746

Are there any plans to make these features available through a release anytime soon?

Especially, that first PR would be very helpful in solving a problem I'm currently working on...

The same sentiment from my side. That first PR would really be useful.

There has recently been a release (1.43.1) on Apr 8, but #6285 is not there.
I'm not too familiar with the processes in the containers organization, but are PRs already merged in main cherry-picked to include in a release? And, on the topic, what about out-of-order versions (such as 1.21.6, released on Jan 22), is that common?

@gsilva00 and @benvdh we will be realease Buildah v1.44.0 prior to Podman v6.0 going out. Current thinking is sometime mid-May to June. We've recently had several unanticipated critical problems that we need to resolve in the short term before we can finalize release dates. Not the smallest of which is CirrusCI going away on June 1, and needing to figure out what's next there.

Thank you for the answer. That gives a lot of clarity. I can imagine indeed replacing your CI/CD pipelines and the other challenges will take some time...
