Kernel Plans?

Just been curious to what are plans on kernel support. Current PopOS 24.04 is running on 6.17 version of kernel and it's suspected that 6.18 will become new longterm supported kernel(at the moment of writing this isn't official), will the official release of cosmic also include new kernel or it will be pushed to later releases or next kernel could be a version that is beyond 6.18 (since 6.17 is only stable and will be end off life in near month unless it becomes a new longterm kernel)? Just hoping to have simple discussion.

COSMIC is a desktop environment and has nothing to do with the kernel.

Pop!_OS will continue to get kernel updates, as kernel updates in Pop!_OS are not tied to major releases: https://github.com/pop-os/linux
