Feature Requests -- isolate workspaces and provide option to disable touchpad

Hello. I really like Cosmic - it's beautiful and mostly functional. As of today there are only two things keeping me from using it as my daily driver:

1. Workspaces aren't isolated. The dock and alt-tab window switching show open apps on all workspaces. I know that some people think that's a good thing, but I find that it makes things too cluttered.
2. There doesn't seem to be an option to turn off touchpads. I have never met a touchpad that I like, and I haven't figured out how to turn mine off (Dell 7490) at the command line under Wayland.

Does anyone know if these features are planned for a future release?
