Glance buttons mod

Current mods readme says it moves glance buttons to the right
On the mod page it says that it moves glance buttons to the left

What this mod actually do? Thanks.

That's really strange. "right" is the right word, i'll look into it

Gotcha. I've asked, since at the some moment the buttons moved to the left side. And I've went to check if I used the mod to move them to the right and when I saw it in the market page it was saying moving "to the left" :).

This mod moves them to the left, because in https://zen-browser.app/release-notes/#1.17b they changed the default behavior to Glance-buttons-on-right.

In those patch notes, they actually linked to your mod! So you must have updated the name in the mod store, but not in the documentation.

That's my read on it anyway, hope this helps!

@DingusShingleton the weird thing that with or without this mod I have those buttons on the left after that update :). And this mod was a last hope of moving them to the right again.

See now that's weird, because when I disabled this mod, they went back to the right. So maybe you have some other mod doing it. Did you try disabling everything?

@DingusShingleton Yes, disabled all the mods and they were still on the left.

But anyway thanks to your comments I've decided to dig it a bit :). What actually helped is the following user css:

.zen-glance-sidebar-container {
  left: unset !important;
  right: unset !important;
}

:root:not([zen-right-side="true"]) .zen-glance-sidebar-container {
  right: 100% !important;
}

:root[zen-right-side="true"] .zen-glance-sidebar-container {
  left: 100% !important;
}

In other words it works fine if the lines in https://github.com/zen-browser/desktop/blob/dev/src/zen/glance/zen-glance.css#L18 are swapped to the opposite values:

   :root:not([zen-right-side="true"]) & {
-    left: 100%;
+    right: 100%;
   }

   :root[zen-right-side="true"] & {
-    right: 100%;
+    left: 100%;
   }
