These should probs get split out to separate issues/triaged, but here are the notes I have from today:

bot features

• @sneakers-the-rat - Make issue template form for submitting software so don't need to manually edit html tags
• Align "assign eic" command with "assign editor" command - can we use the same syntax here?
• Can the "editor response to review" template come from the editor rather than from the bot so they can edit the text within that issue?
• Can we set a date for reviews expected to be turned in and then issue reminders if reviews aren't in by that date?
• Add command to generate checklists for reviewers.
  • Add the reviewer_checklist_comment command
  • Add the checklist template to the repo
• Check DOI resolution when setting archive link
• Automatically trigger completed joss review status upddate
  • Can the joss bot notify us when JOSS review is done?
  • Add command so that author can set link to the JOSS review issue once it is created
• Trigger updating website metadata workflow at the end of review

docs:

• add link to github workflow for adding to project board
• re: 1/editor-assigned phase: add note about "in this phase we might be doing editorial checks before seeking reviewers."

nice to have (optional):

• Can we make "removed label" happen first before "added label" so that they go in linear order in the issue history?

@sneakers-the-rat Juanjo just helped me get that bot working to run the website update at the end! the command is now pyosbot update website! it worked - i'll check that item off our list!

it also looks like the reminder setup that i created supports a reminder for any time period that you wish to set it for. so you could set a reminder for each reviewer or yourself. we will see if it reminds me tomorrow. (Friday 10 may)
