Request for documentation
From pull request qgis/QGIS#66235
Author: @nyalldawson
QGIS version: 4.2
Esri browser improvements
PR Description:
Description
Flip logic for mapserver vector/raster layers. Previously we defaulted to loading mapserver layers as vectors whenever we could -- now default to loading them as rasters, and require users to use the context menu to opt in to loaded them as vectors.
This is more "gentle" on the services, and can result in much improved performance for large layers.
Rework ESRI rest service icons for clarity
- Add specific icon to differentiate imageservers from mapservers
- Make the difference between mapserver and features much clearer, by making them much more obviously raster vs vector
- Bring these icons slightly closer in line with the ArcGIS representations, to ease user transitions
