#1414 is introducing a suite of protocols to calibrate the CNOT gate based on the cross-resonance scheme.
While the protocols have been validated in simulation, and we are significantly confident about their state[*], the documentation is not to the same level:
- some of the protocols' names are not matching those that we eventually chose
- we only have pictures for the base Hamiltonian tomography, but not for the cancellation calibrations
- there is also an outdated picture
- the protocols parameters are not thoroughly documented
So, it definitely requires some refinements, to make it more friendly to the general user.
[*]: Especially in absence of the cancellation pulse, which stress-tested the present simulator capabilities. Actually, the phase could be identified quite neatly, but the amplitude was a bit more noisy.
