This repository is no longer actively maintained and will be officially archived soon.

• Critical bugs may still be addressed until 2026-06-30
• No new features will be added
• Ongoing support should not be expected

I checked the current plenary.nvim usage in this repo.

The docs (installation.md, CONTRIBUTING.md and mcphub.txt) still say Neovim >= 0.8.0, but the repo already looks like 0.10+ in practice:

• CI tests v0.10.0, v0.11.0, and nightly
• the help docs are generated for NVIM v0.10.0

If 0.10.0 is the intended minimum version, I think plenary.nvim can be removed by replacing the current usage with built-in Neovim APIs:

• plenary.job -> vim.system() / vim.uv
• plenary.curl -> vim.system({ "curl", ... })
• plenary.path / plenary.scandir -> vim.fs / vim.uv
• plenary.async -> small local helpers

If that sounds reasonable, I can open a draft PR.
