Some sort of webgpu backend would be neat!
Though, since raylib heavily depends on OpenGL, that would need some sort of OpenGL to webgpu translation layer…

I think webgpu would be a mistake. how many dependencies will that pull in? i tried messing with it on rust long ago but it was just terrible to work with. i love the idea, hate the execution.

What I want the most is OPUS audio and WEBP image support.
Opus is the best audio codec available.
Every image I've tested WEBP in lossless mode would come out smaller than PNG. I don't know decode performance but I haven't had a problem. JXL from just experiencing opening it seems to have a signficant decode time.
I'd prefer these implemented through their reference implementations or external libraries instead of using SDL so GLFW platforms could benefit as well.
