[Android]: when scrolling or swiping into the TextInput with textAlign: center or right, placeholder disappears

Description

when you use textAlign: center or right for TextInput
then with scrolling or swiping actions
placeholder disappears

1. set for textInput styles with textAlign: center or right
2. mouse swipe or scroll over textInput

Expected Results

Placeholder not disappear

same problem when I make the placeholder of the input as center for the align

still having this issue on RN 0.70 when textAlign of TextInput is set to "right"

UPDATE:
I happened to find that it's because I set property "height" of the enclosing view. Removing that will fix the problem, which is really weird...

I'd like to bump this issue. Still noticing this today.
Multiline is not an option for me, as I'm rendering the TextInput components in a single-line context.
The text should properly overflow and type on at the same line, which would not happen in multiline mode.

Multiline was not a good option as you the user can press the Enter button and do more lines. I had to do a custom TextInput with an absolute position of a label.

I also have an issue here, but it only appears after inputting content into the text box and then deleting it. The placeholder disappears when swiping on the input field, and the cursor also disappears.

I am not sure why but this fixed my issue

had same issue for the same reasons and this seems to be working for me.
