I have a few Moes Star Ring Scene Switches which uses ZS3L Silabs chip. I am setting up Zigbee binding to a group which has multiple light bulbs. Switching lights with the switch bound to a group doesn’t work. When bound directly to individual devices, it works.
Silabs
Binding to group: Doesn’t work
Binding to devices: Works
Device tested: TS0042-MA (5e235jpa), TS0041-MA (5e235jpa)
I’m not sure if it’s the difference between Silabs vs. Telink, but binding to Zigbee groups works on Telink.
Telink
Binding to group: Works
Binding to devices: Works
Device tested: TS0041-TB2 (yj6k7vfo)
According to Z2M UI, the Silabs device binds successfully to groups. However, turning on and off the lights doesn’t work. At some point, I couldn’t switch devices via direct binding anymore, and I had to erase and reflash the firmware over the wire.
Is anybody else seeing this issue? And is there any way I can debug this? I am trying to avoid the popcorning effect when binding to multiple devices instead of a group.
