This actually a serious concern for the user. So I will use Github Actions to build the exe binaries from now on.

This means that I used to build the binaries on my laptop, but from on Github's runner server will build the binary from source pulled directly from the Github repo.

I tried with the latest version (2.7.7), and as @ApacheTech pointed above, 21/72 security vendors on VirusTotal are flagging this as malicious (screenshot attached)!

Well I don't plan to waste time reporting to every single vendor now or anytime in the future.

Currently the release binaries are built by GitHub Actions already, as you can check https://github.com/sandwichdoge/MinimizeToTray/actions and compare the hashes, and the code base is fully open-source for audit.

Maybe I could try porting from AutoIt3 to something like Golang or even C++ to avoid false positives, but honestly I don't have a lot of free time recently.

Thanks for confirming. Yes, agree, a Golang or C++ port would mitigate the issue. Just thinking if Python is an easier alternative. I have to research how we can get key bindings working.
