Install script error on latest macOS Tahoe

The installation script should run

Fixed in commit 692596c on dev branch. The bash version check now handles edge cases where BASH_VERSINFO may not be set properly.

Changes:

• Uses explicit variable expansion with default value: BASH_MAJOR_VERSION="${BASH_VERSINFO[0]:-0}"
• Uses bracket test instead of arithmetic expansion: [ -z "$BASH_MAJOR_VERSION" ] || [ "$BASH_MAJOR_VERSION" -lt 4 ]

This should resolve the 'declare: -A: invalid option' error on macOS Tahoe.
