I think we can keep the discussions here because this is really an issue we need to solve.

Building from source is very slow. It tells a lot about the status of the upstream dependency, but I think for checkins and PRs we should use pre-built binaries.

Please note both SOLVCON and devenv could now weekly build SOLVCON https://github.com/solvcon/solvcon/actions/runs/1454292239 https://github.com/solvcon/devenv/actions/runs/1482262328 with devenv. For now we can feel free to refactor the "original/old" CI job to make it run shorter.

devenv step takes 10-20 minutes alone: https://github.com/solvcon/solvcon/runs/4315416488?check_suite_focus=true . The total CI time is 20-30 minutes. The long CI time is a hurdle to development.

While thinking about how to reduce the CI time, I will also try to move code from solvcon to modmesh. solvcon is too old. I do not think we should add new features to it.
