+12V supply to top half of Dalek

Would be nice to run the top half of the Dalek (AV stuff) off of the 12V switch mode regulator @Chris3DSmith acquired; and is desirable to have the connector for this near to the back of the Dalek so it's easily accessible.

If we were to have a 24V supply from the batteries plug into a socket in the skirt then the 12V regulator could be affixed inside the skirt and run the skirt LEDs, skirt cigarette lighter sockets and can pass 12V to the AV section and the full 24V could still be wired later if necessary e.g. to power the turret motors.

The regulator we got is not usable, we took it out the case and parts fell off...
