To Sam and the Sonic Pi communities:
When trying the new editing features I encountered the following (please refer to the images/screenshots):
This is the original code... I wanted to change the prophet synth assigned to 'sn' for example, to 'sn = synth :blade, ..." . Check the following
I clicked at the end of "prophet|," like this
All good so far... so I backspaced to clear "prophet" and select a new synth from the menu as follows"
The pop-out appears nicely so I select my new synth but, a comma was appended after the "sn = synth, ... " causing the problem (syntax incorrectly appended)... pls look at both following screenshots.
so I get this after cdm r (run)
And... an error due to the appended comma/syntax in the wrong place. I have noticed also that there are some other problems i.e the pop-out doesn't auto-clear then I click on my selection... I have to "press" run or do cmd r for the menu to clear then manually re-edit the syntax...
Also, if pressing "shift" immediately after clicking a selection, the editor deletes the selection ??
please note, I am using a MacBook Pro M1 with the arm64 build for MAC OS Tahoe
