Strange bugs related to setting Zoom, Pan and Tilt.

I have a random 4K USB camera from Amazon, probably a Chinese model. It has no significant branding.
Whenever I opened the application today it was giving me an error about Absolute Zero when I attempted to open the preview in the app, but I was unable to copy the error message (or unaware how to). I disconnected the camera and reconnected it and now it allows me to open the preview which does return video.
Now when I try to adjust the zoom / pan / tilt it says
