High CPU use even when a background process

Hi, when I run this—even after finishing it up and turning it into a background app—I find that the CPU usage gets completely out of whack, making the machine run so hot that its fans run full blast. It only stops when I kill the Cameractrls process entirely. (It keeps my tweaks, fortunately.)

Using version 0.6.7 with an Obsbot Meet 4K and an Intel 12700H laptop with ARC graphics on Bazzite.

I'm sorry you're experiencing this, it's clearly a bug.
Do you use the Flatpak version? Is the preview still running in the background? Do you have to kill the cameractrlsgtk.py GUI?

I’m using the Flatpak. I usually use my system tool to turn it off, and I find that the CPU goes crazy after I turn off the preview. It currently says 5% in the listing, but it carries itself as if it’s hitting the CPU much harder than that. It is set as a background app, but, my fans are running pretty heavy at the moment. If I close the high-flying process, the fans immediately spin down.

I noticed the same from xwayland - it seems the preview window opens with X but the main config window works natively with Wayland? (I also noticed the main window has an app_id but the preview window has the same as class, meaning I need two swayconfig rules for both to float.)
