Hi, Stefan.

I noticed when using the Sad Mac screen saver that after waking and unlocking my Mac (so it returns to the desktop) a process named “legacyScreenSaver-x86_64 (Wallpaper)” keeps running in the background consuming 20–40% CPU.

This is on a 16-inch 2021 M1 Max MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.4.1.

A quick web search suggests this may not be unique to Sad Mac (e.g. Reddit thread), but I thought I’d share in case you weren’t aware. I did try switching to a different third-party screen saver and was able to reproduce the issue using that screen saver, too.
