Recommend smtp smarthost / relay for outbound emails ?

I don't want any headache of managing / thinking of my IP's reputation for sending emails and them going to spam, we send upto 200 emails a day. I want some sort of relay which would send outbound mails with excellent reliability.

Are any such services which are recommended. I read about Amazon's SES but kindly suggest what you guys are using.

Should I have also an inbound relay?

My goal is reliability and security.

No worries about inbound, it will just work if the MX records point to the right place. There are many relay services, SMTP2GO is often mentioned, there are many others with different plans.

We use Amazon SES since years for all the transactional mails from our customers' websites and we never had a problem. Not even once. Excellent deliverability, but keep in mind that it has a small cost (1000 messages for 0.10 USD), it's not much but it really depends on your volume...
Check also the max message size, I'm not sure but I think it's limited to 40MB, I don't know if it might be problem for you...
